Syrian Army launched a night operation liberates Brigade 550 in northern Palmyra after capturing Mazar mountain

AhlulBayt News Agency - The Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces” – backed by the 67th Brigade of the 18th Tank Division and National Defense Forces (NDF) – launched a night operation in the northern countryside of Palmyra (Tadmur) that targeted the Brigade 550 Base near the Al-‘Amariyah District.



Following a flurry of clashes with the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) at Brigade 550, the Syrian Armed Forces imposed full control over this strategic site in the Homs Governorate’s eastern countryside.

The Syrian Armed Forces advanced to Brigade 550 Base in northern Palmyra after they liberated the Al-Mazar Mountains on Tuesday morning.

With the Al-Mazar Mountains and Brigade 550 Base under their control, the Syrian Armed Forces have secured the ancient city of Palmyra and forced the ISIS terrorists to retreat further north towards Mount Murbat Al-Hassan.
